Here we have a beautiful Minolta Maxxum 7000 35mm film SLR camera with Minolta Maxxum AF Zoom 28-135mm F/4-4.5 macro focusing zoom lens, lens filter, and lens cap.

This camera is fully functional, as is the lens. It is being sold at a discount because there is LCD bleed on the top LCD, as well as minor bleed on the in-viewfinder LCD, and the front lens element has some blemishes which will not impact images.

The camera is in great condition and is mechanically perfect. The mirror box, viewfinder, battery compartment, and film compartment are all clean and without damage. The shutter is perfect, as is the lens mount. The autofocus system works as it should, as do all of the electronic and mechanical controls.

The Maxxum 7000 is an autofocus (with selectable manual focus) SLR film camera of excellent quality. It was the first major successful autofocus camera ever, and is a true milestone in photographic history. Its '80s aesthetic is delightfully retro, and it looks like nothing else out there today. 

In use, the camera is incredibly capable. While the autofocus system is certainly not as fast or quiet as today's cameras, it works extremely well. The camera is weighty and balanced, and offers excellent tactile feedback in operation. The viewfinder is massive and bright and allows for easy compostion. 

Photos taken with this camera are as effortless or controlled as one would like. With full manual shooting and a range of auto-exposure shooting modes, the photographer has the ability to control every aspect of the photo, or to sit back and let the camera take care of the hard work. Minolta's metering system helps ensure flawless exposures in Program mode, while switching to manual mode allows full control of aperture and shutter speed. 

The lens is a very versatile 28-135mm lens with a maximum aperture of F/4-4.5. It is a very sharp lens, and capable of anything from snapshots to street photography, and even macro shooting. This example is free of any issues such as balsam separation, fungus, or optical defects. The autofocus mechanism works perfectly, and the control rings spin as they should.

This camera uses common AAA batteries (or AA batteries with a Minolta adapter), which are not included.
